We were invited to the cousins-is-law for dinner and this is the view from their kitchen window. I did not have the time or inclination to do a sketch, but took a photograph to make one later. I am experimenting with the tablet drawing app, and some of the things are can do with it feels a bit like cheating, to be honest.

  1. This may feel like cheating to YOU, but you had to learn the digital process involved, which is NOT cheating. I really like this, and I could never do anything like this because I don’t have the right equipment.

    1. Not much of a process really, you just open a drawing app and get started. The cheating bit is, I think, the variety of completely “unnatural” marks one can make. Of course, I could choose not to use them, but then again, having them is what makes digital sketching so special… ?

  2. I haven’t tried any of those apps yet… I know I’d be addicted for a while and nothing else would get done so I just don’t try them….yet that is πŸ™‚ Your’s looks fantastic!!!

    1. Thanks! I donΒ΄t have time for any such addiction (with school and all), but I do see what you mean. I also have a notepad app and a taking-notes-on-top-of-pdfs app which is impressing my young fellow students! πŸ˜€ Old dogs can learn new tricks! πŸ˜‰

    1. I certainly should go there some afternoon (after the winter) and take the time to do a proper plein air drawing, or a watercolour, maybe. Thing is, the cousin-in-laws are so fun to be with, there is rarely time to step aside to do art. πŸ™‚
