The Electric Pencil

I have to share this with you – in case you didn´t spot this on facebook, where I found it – and hope you find it as beautiful as I do. It is the most charming art journal, and it has a moving story to go with it.

I am quite taken with it all and thought it would be a good offering for this T Tuesday, which I have failed to turn up for for so long. What can I say? Life is sometimes overwhelming and there are not enough hours in a day for it all.

Hope you all had glorious Easter weekends and that I´ll see you at Bleubeard & Elisabeth´s. I´ll be having a great big mug of organically grown coffee! Happy T-Day! 🙂

  1. Oh Viktoria, thank you so much for that amazing video! It is beautiful and the story too. What a find! I utterly enjoyed watching it and I will watch it again later on. I love it so much.
    Happy T-day,

  2. I have saved the video to watch later-looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing a cuppa with us and happy T day! Good to hear from you again:)

  3. I was simply THRILLED to see you had joined us again for T this Tuesday. I assure you that you were missed. But I totally agree that sometimes there are NOT enough hours in a day. I have no idea how you did it last term.

I love your coffee maker and your organically grown coffee. It looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us for T this Tuesday. Now I’m off to see if I can get this video to work. Wish me luck, because my old computer doesn’t play YouTube videos, but this didn’t look like one, so it may play.

  4. I can see why this appealed to you so much. It’s HORRIBLE how patients were treated in the past and how they were “incarcerated” for life. BTW, I used to live about 30 miles from Nevada, MO. It is pronounced NUH-VA-DUH.

  5. oh my goodness Victoria, thank you so much for sharing this video!! it is stunning, and proof positive that art is a much better therapy than some other therapies that have been tried over the years. A tragic story can be remembered and valued for what we can learn from it, as well as the wonderful ‘outsider’ art. Happy T day and happy Spring!

  6. Thank you ever so much for sharing this video. It was so interesting and chilling at the same time. I can remember going to an “institute” much like this one as a child with my parents and a church group every month. It was our “missionary ” service. It used to scare the begeezus out of me and taught me compassion at the same time ♥ I’m sharing the video with friend and family .

  7. What a heartwarming and moving story.
    It leaves me quite speechless.
Thanks very much for sharing Viktoria.
Lovely to have you back for tea too.
Life sure can be challenging and finding balance is always a trick isn’t it.
